Caracam

Over the last two years I have dedicated myself to this project. Constantly finding new methods to gather, clean, and sort data to make the best dataset for this AI possible. I’ve made a couple AI projects in conjunction with Caracam to make life easier for me during this process. One of these was a data cleaner I was quite proud of as it was one of my first projects related to vision AI.

There are actually a couple different models of the Caracam AI, there’s two version currently being hosted on Huggingface which you can find links to below:

Caracam’s Story

This all started when a few of my friends and I were in a parking lot and I spotted a Saturn Sky. I had no clue what this car was and it had no identifying badges, in fact I only learned it was a Saturn Sky because I used my AI to identify it a whole 1 1/2 years later! During this time I had very little in life that I had to do, COVID just ended and during that lockdown I found my passion in creating AI projects and making them do different things. I already liked Python but this made me fall in love with programming and coding. My friend knew about this little obsession I had and he gave me a task, really felt like I was being sent on a quest. He told me, “How about you just make an AI to tell you what car that is?”, and so I did, and I became obsessed with this side-project, it completely took my life over and I’m finally finishing it up 2 years later. I hope you all enjoy the fruits of my labor as this has been a tough 2 years mostly going unemployed during this whole process despite applying to over 100 jobs over this period.
